AI has the prospective to reshape crucial sectors in China. However, among service domains in these sectors with the most important use cases, there is no low-hanging fruit where AI can be executed with little extra financial investment. Rather, our research discovers that unlocking optimal potential of this opportunity will be possible only with strategic investments and developments across a number of dimensions-with information, skill, innovation, and market collaboration being primary. Working together, enterprises, AI players, and federal government can address these conditions and enable China to catch the full worth at stake.
