Traditionally, in China, brand-new developments are quickly folded into the general public domain, making it challenging for enterprise-software and AI players to understand a return on their large investment. In our experience, patent laws that protect copyright can increase investors' self-confidence and bring in more investment in this area.
AI has the prospective to improve key sectors in China. However, amongst business domains in these sectors with the most important use cases, there is no low-hanging fruit where AI can be implemented with little extra financial investment. Rather, our research finds that opening maximum potential of this opportunity will be possible only with tactical investments and innovations throughout numerous dimensions-with data, talent, innovation, and market cooperation being foremost. Working together, enterprises, AI players, and government can attend to these conditions and make it possible for China to record the amount at stake.
